Cliff-top and coastal walks can be accessed via a 3 mile walk from the property along rugged terrain but your efforts will be rewarded by the breathtaking views of Hartland Point and Welcome. Conveniently placed on the Devon/Cornwall border you will be within a 30 minute drive from the north Cornish town of Bude with its numerous sandy beaches ideal for all to enjoy from sunbathing to surfing. Many other Cornish attractions are within easy reach including Tintagel the village of Padstow the Eden Project and the many sandy beaches around the Camel Estuary. On the Devon side there is also a wealth of nearby attractions which include The Big Sheep and The Milky Way and many coastal towns and villages including Clovelly Bideford and Westward Ho! The local village of Hartland which was originally a Georgian market town offers traditional family pubs and shops as well as a wealth of history including Hartland Abbey and quay. Take a boat trip to fully appreciate the magnificent UNESCO Geo Park coastline. Shoalstone Beach and Shoalstone outdoor seawater pool are a short walk away as is Berry Head Country Park with wonderful sea views across Torbay and the English Channel. Follow the coast path and experience the unspoilt coves along the way. Then come home and relax on the south facing patio. Venturing further afield you can catch the ferry from Brixham or a traditional steam train from Paignton to Dartmouth which has a good selection of shops and restaurants.
