Conveniently located on the A3124 you will be close to the village of Beaford some 0.8 miles away with its arts centre and 5 miles from the Cavalier Town of Torrington making it a convenient place to holiday being close to a huge range of amenities such as RHS Rosemoor Gardens and Torrington 1646. Watch glass being blown at Dartington Crystal before enjoying a traditional Devon cream tea in the adjoining restaurant. Family theme parks such as The Big Sheep and The Milky Way are a short distance away and offer families of all ages a great day out. Other interesting places to visit include Clovelly a cliff-side fishing village with steep cobbled streets leading down to the harbour. The market town of Bideford with its weekly pannier market Burton Art Gallery Victoria Park and historic quayside are worth a look. For those who enjoy walking or cycling the Tarka Trail (a former railway line which runs from Braunton - Meeth) is nearby and offers a safe and level walkway for children and adults alike with a few welcome watering holes along the way. There is plenty to see and do the property is within walking distance of the village of Northam which has a post office pubs and shops and is a 15 minute walk to the sands at the burrows at Westward Ho! The interesting and historical fishing village of Appledore is only a 5 minute drive and over the estuary from here is the village of Instow where you can watch the many yachts sail by or partake in one of the water sports. Nestling in the grounds of the owners own beautiful 16th century thatched Devon Longhouse, the elevated position ensures stunning countryside views and on a clear day Croyde Bay can be glimpsed from the south facing balcony. This is a lovely spot to enjoy meals al fresco or evening drinks under the stars. A gravel path and steps lead up to the front entrance and into the open plan living room with comfy leather sofa and flat screen wall mounted TV. The modern kitchen area is well equipped, featuring a breakfast bar, and there is one double bedroom with an ensuite shower room. Weez House is an ideal choice for surfers, and keen walkers will enjoy exploring the footpath leading almost from the doorstep to the stunning beach at Putsborough around 20 minutes away. To holiday with friends we also have a cottage called Thatcher’s Leggett in the same location. Croyde offers everything you could need in a seaside village, a renowned surfing beach, character cottages and a great selection of pubs and restaurants. Weez House is something a little different, perfect for couples and a welcoming retreat at the end of a fun filled day. Please note that infants are not accepted.
