Accommodation overview: LOVELY 1850 S COTTAGE IN TRANQUIL VILLAGE SETTING In the peaceful village of Buckland Monachorum with its historic 14th century church this charming 1850s terraced cottage has been furnished and equipped to a lovely comfortable standard. It is situated a short stroll away from the village inn which serves good food. It is also a 4 minute drive to another equally lovely pub in the next pretty village of Milton Combe. With rugged Dartmoor on your doorstep and Devon and Cornwall s beautiful and unspoilt beaches within easy reach you will find there is so much to do in this area. Enjoy some of the stunning moorland walks or you could visit local Sheepstor and see the cottage and localities used in the film Warhorse. There are golf courses horse riding coarse fishing and cycle hire available locally. Dog walkers are now welcome (NEW) to enjoy estate walks at the National Trust Buckland Abbey estate (former home of Sir Francis Drake a 4 minute drive). Also the newly acquired /opened Cider House gardens close by (a 3 minute drive) are a haven of tranquillity. This property has an extensive range of events and workshops for all the family.
