Tucked away in a quiet lane just off the centre of Combe Martin village, The Elms is a four bedroomed Victorian cottage, making a perfect holiday base for larger family groups. You can get away from it all relax and unwind with village views spanning across to countryside. The living room is kept cosy with its multi-fuel stove and has French doors opening into the conservatory with views across the village. The separate dining room is open plan to the modern fitted kitchen with a tiled floor and beech work surfaces. A door off the utility room leads to the enclosed yard providing useful storage for surfboards, wetsuits and beach equipment. The three bedrooms on the first floor are served by a separate bathroom with a roll top bath. On the half landing is an additional separate shower room, and bedroom four on the second floor may be more ideal for children or teenagers, with a sloping ceiling, sofa area, TV and DVD. The pretty cottage garden includes lawned areas and large patio terrace off the conservatory; small children will require supervision on the raised terrace.

Walk almost from the doorstep down to the River Taw where Herons and Kingfishers are often found on the water's edge, or take a stroll through the woodland and catch site of Red Deer. The nearby historic town of Barnstaple is just fifteen minutes drive away and choice of wonderful sandy beaches are within easy reach. Meadow View and Taw Valley Cottage offer a peaceful and relaxing setting from which to explore all that North Devon has to offer and are ideal to book together for extended family and friends.

Nestling within the grounds of the owner's 400 acre farm bordering the River Taw, where you can fish with a permit bought locally, this former barn has been skilfully converted to provide a peaceful and relaxing retreat in the heart of the Devonshire countryside. The panoramic views are quite stunning and the barn has been designed to take full advantage, having full width windows and wide opening glass doors. A high vaulted open plan living room with kitchen and dining area features original stonework, slate tiled flooring, stripped pine latch doors and oak beams. A single room is on the ground floor together with a pristine modern bathroom. Climbing the wooden staircase to the galleried landing looking down over the living room, you will find a sunny double bedroom with amazing far reaching countryside views. Outside an attractive slate patio area and lovely lawned garden is an ideal spot to relax, and you are very welcome to roam the adjoining land which includes a 30 acre wood. For couples or small families wishing to get away from it all in a rural location within easy reach of a range of amenities, Taw Valley Cottage is a great choice. If you are a larger party why not book Meadow View and Taw Valley together and have the best of both worlds.
