The East Devon beaches are a short drive away with their sheltered coves sandy and pebble beaches coastal walking or a stroll along the prom at Sidmouth. The Jurassic Coast provides plenty of fossil hunting and the National Trust at nearby Killerton House and Bicton Gardens make a great day out. The nearby town of Exeter has facilities to suit all tastes with its ancient Cathedral remaining Roman wall and modern shopping centre. The quay area is particularly interesting for a stroll and lunch or simply sitting beside the River Exe watching the world go by. South Park is a spacious detached house with lovely views over the surrounding countryside to the estuary in the distance. Situated in a residential cul de sac within walking distance of the village shops, pubs and restaurants it is a really comfortable home from home. The hallway with oak flooring gives access to the large sunny living room, separate dining room and immaculate newly fitted kitchen which also has an ample breakfast bar with seating for all the family. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor, overlooking the front garden, both being extremely spacious and served by a modern shower room. A further cloakroom adds to the facilities. On the first floor a good sized landing acts as a useful study area with desk and leads to a large bedroom with characterful sloping ceiling and amazing views from a Juliette style balcony towards the estuary. A special feature of this room is the wonderful ensuite bathroom with huge spa bath for luxurious relaxation. Thatcher’s Leggett is a lovely stone cottage nestling in the grounds of the owners own beautiful 16th century thatched Devon Longhouse, just a few minutes stroll from the village centre and path leading to fabulous Croyde Bay. Perfect for keen walkers, there is also a bridleway / footpath leading from the doorstep all the way to the stunning beach at Putsborough around 20 minutes away. The light, bright and spacious open plan living room with kitchen and dining area boasts a high vaulted ceiling, comfy seating and a wood burning stove, making it the cosiest of retreats at any time of year. An attractive twin bedroom is also situated on the ground floor together with a modern bathroom. From the entrance hallway a smart wooden staircase runs up to the mezzanine floor with a spacious galleried bedroom and ensuite cloakroom.
