While Appledore offers shops galleries a Maritime Museum and several family pubs serving good food the whole of North Devon is also yours to explore; there are attractions to suit all tastes and these include RHS Rosemoor Gardens The Big Sheep The Milky Way The Oldenburg for pleasure trips to Lundy Island and more. The 2 miles of golden sandy beach at Westward Ho! is a 5 minute drive as are leisure facilities such as tennis riding swimming pool and the Royal North Devon Golf Course which is the oldest links course in England. The market town of Bideford is close by and offers a pannier market and high street shops. In the evenings relax on patio or enjoy a glass of wine and views from the living area. The stylish accommodation is accessed via the second floor and offers THREE bedrooms: 1 master king-size with en-suite bathroom with shower over and WC on the ground floor. A door leads out from the bedroom into the enclosed garden. 1 further double and 1 bunk bedroom on the (entrance level) second floor. Bathroom: also on this floor with shower over bath and WC. Lounge/kitchen/diner: on the (middle) first floor with TV/DVD and Juliet balcony with pretty views over the village. Kitchen area: well-equipped with electric oven and hob dishwasher fridge/freezer microwave. Utility area: with washing machine and tumble dryer located next to the ground-floor en-suite bathroom. Outside: small enclosed patio garden with garden furniture. Amenities: 1 allocated parking space adjacent to the property and additional off-road parking. In association with Trinity House, Rural Retreats is pleased to present Siren at Bull Point Lighthouse.
Siren (with accommodation for five guests) is one of four refurbished former lighthouse keepers' cottages at the lighthouse which lies is just outside of Mortehoe in North Devon.
The perimeter of the site is fully fenced and gated but once outside this area, it is very dangerous for children staying at the holiday cottage. Strict supervision at all times is recommended, as not all guests will remember to keep the gate closed and locked.
This lighthouse does not have a fog signal.
Country access roads to some of the lighthouse sites are narrow with limited passing places and, dependent on the season and site, there is the possibility of overhanging vegetation due to cutting restrictions during bird breeding seasons or other environmental reasons.
Guests should be aware that the lighthouses and equipment need regular and sometimes emergency maintenance. Therefore visits by maintenance staff may occur at any time during the year. However, staff will do their best to ensure guest privacy at all times.

Accommodation overview: Netherton Farm is set in a small peaceful hamlet in a secluded valley surrounded by five acres of beautiful farm and woodland, seven miles from Salcombe in one direction and Dartmouth slightly further in the other. This area is a haven for birds and wildlife and a favourite for walkers (with or without a four-legged friend!) and cyclists. All guests at Netherton have use of the owners fabulous heated outdoor swimming pool (from May until early October, weather permitting) as well as access to the large communal grassed area.Boxtree Barn is a delightful stone and wood-clad cottage, presented to an excellent modern standard whilst retaining many original features. This recently converted, pet friendly barn has a new and fresh feel, the highlight of which is the stunning open plan living accommodation with high vaulted ceiling, glass-panelled staircase and large woodburning stove. Tastefully furnished and well equipped throughout, the barn offers a tranquil and comfortable holiday experience for couples or young families in particular.
