Braunton has a great selection of pubs, shops and restaurants and is only a short drive from the gorgeous sandy beaches of Saunton and Croyde. The Tarka Trail runs through the village, perfect for cyclists or walkers to enjoy a variety of landscapes as it winds its way along the route taken by Tarka the Otter in Henry Williamson's famous book. Approached via a narrow track of just over one third of a mile - unsuitable for low suspension or extra wide vehicles - it adjoins the owners own holiday cottage, just used occasionally.
