Accommodation overview: Burblet Cottage is a delightful stonebuilt property on the fringes of the market town of Kirkby Stephen and is an ideal location for sightseeing throughout Cumbria and the Yorkshire Dales. The garden and orchards are awash with colour in the height of the season and give way to stunning views of the Howgills. This is also a haven to wildlife, regular visitors to the grounds include red squirrels, a heron, woodpeckers and owls. The accommodation is very comfortable with carefully chosen accessories depicting rural life proudly on show, displayed on the exposed stone wall and dotted around the cottage. A welcome Pack and even a pair of binoculars are provided by the thoughtful owners offering you that much needed cuppa upon arrival and a closer view of your potential visitors. Walking, fishing, cycling, golf and birdwatching are all available locally. The owners will be pleased to provide evening meals in the privacy of your own cottage at extra cost and with pre notice.

All the attractions of Ambleside are a level walk away and the shores of Windermere a mere 10 minute level stroll. Accommodation overview: Bridge Cottage was completely refurbished in 2008 to provide a comfortable, cosy 2 bedroom holiday cottage for 3 people. Situated in a quiet location next to the River Greta in Keswick, the cottage is a 15 minute level walk from the town centre and has the benefit of walks directly from the doorstep, to Latrigg, Skiddaw and Blencathra. The cottage is very well equipped including a full Sky TV package and all modern appliances. The owner is a fully qualified hypnotherapist and psychotherapist and can offer therapeutic breaks by request.

Elk Cottage is a 4 Star Gold Award winning restoration of a Grade II listed traditional sandstone barn located in the quiet hamlet of Glassonby in the middle of the Eden Vally. Access to the rolling hills of the Eden Valley and its numerous nearby walks is one of the best features of this cosy cottage.
The recent renovation of Elk Cottage, Jenny's Croft and Glassonby Old Hall dating back to the 1600s, bring these 4 and 5 Star Gold Award winning barns and traditional Cumbrian long house back into habitation for the first time since 1764. They retain many of their original features including old ship timber oak beams, oak mullion windows, flagged stone floors, open fireplaces, stone staircases, stone walls, arched openings, original old fashioned door heights (some low) and terraced gardens and fields. All three properties are furnished throughout with antiques and incorporate solar water heating.
Though Elk Cottage is no longer part of a working farm, its position on one of the higher hills in the Eden Valley gives its gardens amazing views towards the Pennines and the rolling countryside that has seen this area in Cumbria declared one of the UK's designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Elk Cottage is dog friendly and the gardens and grounds surrounding this cottage provide plenty of room for running around.
There are some great walks starting from the front door of Elk Cottage including a walk along from Dale Raven along the banks of the River Eden, a walk to Lacey's Caves along the Eden River, a walk to the Long Meg Stone Circle (the second largest in England) and to the charming nearby Cumbrian village of Melmerby, where the nationally acclaimed organic Village Bakery and the Shepherd's Inn Pub provide great food and local beers (Dorris' 90th Birthday ale is highly recommended).
There is a village shop 1.5 miles from Glassonby in Kirkoswald which also has two local pubs. Bicycles, locks and helmets are available for hire on site. Cycling route maps provided and Glassonby is located along the popular C2C cycle route as well as having many quiet lanes in the local area which are ideal for cyclists.

Accommodation overview: Acorn Cottage is situated right in the heart of Braithwaite, a popular Lakeland village which has 2 excellent pubs, each of which serves good quality bar meals and real Ale, 2 restaurants and a village shop. Braithwaite lies midway between Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite Lake at the foot of Whinlatter Pass, looking towards Skiddaw and only 2 mile from the bustling market town of Keswick. There is a visitor centre on Whinlatter with Forest Trails and tracks for mountain biking and plenty of good walks on the fells surrounding Braithwaite, such as the Coledale Round and Grisedale Pike.
