Accommodation overview: From the moment you get out of your car a feeling of calm will descend over you and all the stresses of modern day living will vanish. The hamlet of Bootle Station is the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Station Cottage has an unusual location, adjoining the owners home, Station House situated right on the station itself. There are only 7 trains a day trundling along this line which runs from Carlisle to Barrow. The beach is within easy walking distance, where you can walk for miles along this unspoilt coastline. The beautiful valley, of Eskdale and Wasdale are close by. The miniature railway at Ravenglass, affectionately known as Laal Ratty will take you all the way to Eskdale Green, the kids will love it. Also at Ravenglass is Muncaster Castle and grounds. Dating back almost a 1000 years it is the ancestral home of the Pennington family and is a must see on your holiday.

Accommodation overview: Lindale is a delightful village in the south Lakes, only 2 miles from Grange Over Sands which can be reached in 5 minutes by car or 40 minutes walk for those more energetic of you. Grange was a popular resort of the Victorians and still today retains an historic feel with the lovely promenade fringed by delightful tea rooms and craft shops. Lindale is well placed for exploring all of the Lakes and Furness Peninsula, Windermere Lake being only only 15 minutes drive. The village itself has a local store, well supported village hall and two pubs offering real ale and excellent food.

It has stunning westerly views over the Irish Sea to the Isle of Man and easterly views to Blackcoombe Fell. Accommodation overview: The Bog Farmhouse and barns at Aldoth were recently converted into a row of attractive sandstone cottages, with character features but modern facilities. Old Bog Farmhouse is situated in a peaceful, rural area, surrounded by open farmland and with views to the Lake District Mountains. Aldoth is in North West Cumbria, 5 miles from the Victorian seaside town of Silloth and the wonderful Cumbrian coast and within easy reach of The Lakes, Carlisle and Hadrians Wall. There are numerous nature reserves along the coast and excellent walks along the beaches and nearby fells. The nearest pub is 3 miles, at Abbey Town, with many more amenities in Silloth including leisure facilities, restaurants, pubs and shops. There are 2 golf courses within 5 miles, one in Aspatria and the award wining Links course at Silloth.

Accommodation overview: This charming seaside character cottage has a superb location, directly across the road from the sand and pebble beach at Beckfoot. The front garden looks over the Solway Firth to the Scottish Hills and has the most spectacular sunsets. The beach is great for dog walking and extends for miles in either direction, with Silloth to the north and Allonby to the south. These 2 quaint seaside towns each have amenities, including leisure facilities, restaurants, pubs and shops and the Lake District is 30 minutes drive. Isabels Cottage has a wet room and a bedroom on the ground floor, which will be an advantage to guests with mobility problems.
