Accommodation overview: Grange-Over-Sands and surrounding districts are a delightful area of the South Lakes, offering an interesting selection of historic seaside resorts and quaint rural villages. Grange is an elegant town, with a long, sweeping promenade fronting the Bay, lined with antique and collectors shops and cafes. Cartmel famous for its Priory and race meetings is well worth a visit, if only to sample the local sticky toffee pudding. Allithwaite is a short drive from both Grange and Cartmel and is only about 7 miles from the southern tip of Lake Windermere with easy access to the higher fells. Fairview, an end terrace cottage, has been completely renovated to provide exceptional levels of comfort. The accommodation is set out over three floors. Accommodation overview: Brambleside is a beautiful 4 bedroom detached house, 400 yards from the beach and Mawbray Banks nature reserve, which is an area of outstanding natural beauty overlooking the spectacular Cumbrian Coast. The Victorian seaside town of Silloth is a 10 min drive away. Maryport is a 15 min drive with attractions for all the family including Lake District Coast Aquarium and The Wave visitor centre. There are several golf courses within a few miles and the Lake District National Park is a half hour drive.

Accommodation overview: This delightful 4 Star rated, stone built cottage enjoys a tranquil rural setting, mid way between Cockermouth and Loweswater in the Western Lakes. It sits on the banks of Sandy Beck, a haven for wildlife and birdlife, including deer, red squirrels and kingfishers. The Smithy was converted from the former Blacksmiths forge by the owners in 2008. They retained the character, with vaulted ceilings and wooden beams and complemented it with the use of high quality furnishings throughout. Lorton, Crummock Water and Buttermere are nearby, with spectacular walks on the surrounding fells. The nearest pub serving bar meals is 2 miles and a wealth of amenities are available in the vibrant market town of Cockermouth, 4 miles. The accommodation is all on ground floor, which may be helpful for people with mobility problems.

Aldoth is in North West Cumbria, 5 miles from the Victorian seaside town of Silloth and the wonderful Cumbrian coast and within easy reach of The Lakes, Carlisle and Hadrians Wall. There are numerous nature reserves along the coast and excellent walks along the beaches and nearby fells. The nearest pub is 3 miles, at Abbey Town, with many more amenities in Silloth including leisure facilities, restaurants, pubs and shops. There are 2 golf courses within 5 miles, one in Aspatria and the award wining Links course at Silloth.

It is 1/2 mile from Ravenglass, a pretty fishing village on the Cumbrian Coast, with sandstone houses, pubs, hotels, shops and cafes. The Ravenglass and Eskdale narrow gauge railway operates from the village station and travels along the Eskdale valley. Wast Water, Englands deepest lake, Sca Fell our highest mountain and the beautiful Wasdale and Eskdale valleys are all nearby and offer great walking. The Coast to Coast cycle route goes past the front door and the award winning Kirkstile Inn is close by for bar meals. Trotters Animal World is a mere 20 minute drive and the seaside town of St Bees is a similar distance.
