Accommodation overview: Only 10 minutes from beautiful Coniston Water sits Langholme Mill Cottage near Lowick, a 17th Century former corn mill. Both Coniston, Ulverston and Broughton are within easy reach enabling visitors to explore the fields and fells that are visible from the door of Langholme Mill, enticing visitors to explore the great outdoors. Langholme Mill Cottage is rather special as it has almost an acre of beautiful woodland gardens. Designed around the mill race, the gardens feature interesting displays, ornamental bridges and features slate paths, as well as well established rhododendrons, hostas and aces providing a mass of vibrant colour. The owners open their garden (by prearranged appointment only) as part of the National Gardens Scheme throughout the summer in aid of nursing, caring and gardening charities.

Accommodation overview: Force Mill is in a lovely location for a family country holiday, surrounded by farmland, forest, a stream and nearby waterfall (Force) which gives it its name. Go south for Rusland Woods, Fell Foot, the Haverthwaite Steam Railway and the Windermere Cruises; North for Grizedale Centre (the Go-Ape experience) - safe cycle trails, forest walks and the more rugged fells. Coniston and Brantwood are a good days walk there and back. At home you can enjoy the large enclosed garden, well-furnished and with fine views and ample safe parking. The house is recently refurbished and has three restful bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, a further shower room, and a light airy living/dining room with wood burning stove. Nearby villages 1 mile away have friendly pubs with good bar meals. Free tennis is available at Satterthwaite - bring your own rackets. Accommodation overview: Burrow Cottage, part of the former Burrow Hall dates back to the 18th century and is midway between the medieval town of Kendal (3 miles) and the popular resorts of Windermere and Bowness (6 miles). The location, just off the A591 is ideal for touring both the Lake and Dales. Staveley is a mile away and has a great selection of traditional pubs, most serving homemade food and local ales. Accommodation overview: Croft Cottage is located in the heart of Braithwaite village, which lies at the foot of Grisedale Pike and Whinlatter Pass. The cottage which dates back to 1868 was formerly a barn which has been converted into two dwellings and has been fully modernised and refurbished to the same high standard as the owners other properties, Millerdale and Kiln How in Threlkeld. The village boasts a shop, 2 pubs serving bar meals and a restaurant all within walking distance and all accept pets. Keswick is only 2 miles away where you will find an abundance of amenities and visitor attractions. You can walk from the door in Braithwaite and there are some of the best mountain bike tracks in Whinlatter forest. There are fell views from the bedroom windows. Outside the cottage is an unloading area, ample on street parking and a gravelled garden with seating area.
