Accommodation overview: A 17th century former alms house for the nearby church 1 mile from Ings, 2 St. Annes Cottages is a quaint semi detached cottage, with delightful front garden and plenty of character displayed by the original spice cupboard in the lounge and open beams throughout. Set opposite the local farm, the property is in a delightfully rural position yet is only a few minutes drive from Windermere and Bowness. It is comfortably furnished and ideal for both relaxing family holidays and as a base for those wishing to explore the delights of the Lake District. Accommodation overview: These cottages, one a Victorian double fronted detached house and the other the converted stables sit in the very heart of Windermere are tucked away behind the main thoroughfare and accessed by a narrow lane opening out into a small courtyard. Nowadays, the horse and carriages have been exchanged for holidaymakers and the ancient buildings have been successfully converted to provide two most interesting cottages with all the desired 21st century facilities that we are so used to but wonderfully married with an Art Nouveau retro theme throughout, perfectly in keeping with the buildings historic past.

Accommodation overview: Nestling into the slopes of Whinlatter Fell in a woodland setting, this delightful cottage in Thornthwaite enjoys superb panoramic fell views from Skiddaw to Walla Crag. Ideally located for walking or mountain biking right from the door, the property also benefits from sailing and fishing opportunities close by on Bassenthwaite Lake. The Whinlatter Visitors Centre is nearby and a 20 minute stroll through the woods will take you to Braithwaite, where you will find 2 pubs both serving bar meals, and a restaurant. The bustling town of Keswick is only 4 miles away. Woodside Cottage is all on one level but is accessed by a number of steps and has gas central heating and double glazing.

Accommodation overview: Beach side cottages always prove a popular choice with our guests in the South Lakes so when we had the opportunity to market a seaside retreat in Silverdale, we thought well, why not? Although not strictly Cumbria, this delightful seaside village is only a few miles from Kendal and a mere 20 miles from Kirkby Lonsdale making it an ideal base for exploring no less than three counties in one trip. An area of outstanding natural beauty, nature lovers will revel in the flora and fauna of the area as well as some excellent walking, a fabulous beach and wonderful views of the Lakeland Fells and Morecambe Bay.

Accommodation overview: One of the first gentlemens residences to be built in Windermere, Oakland Hall is now a stunning and unique home offering an eclectic fusion of traditional Lakeland and boutique cottage, topped off by panoramic views over Windermere to the Langdale Pikes beyond. The house revolves around two large rooms: The Grand Hall, now an elegant dining room, two storeys high lit by huge stone mullioned stained glass windows and dominated by an arts and crafts fireplace with a large wood-burning stove at its heart.
