Accommodation overview: Perched high above Coniston, and with breath taking views of the lake below, Rascal Howe is a Lakeland cottage named after a local rocky outcrop. The cottage boasts a wealth of features such as multi level garden terraces, a cast iron fireplace and traditional oak ceiling beams and will suit those looking for something different to the more common stripped pine look. The Cottage is literally at the foot of the Old Man of Coniston with walks to this and surrounding fells beginning from right behind the house. Accommodation overview: Bluebird Cottage sits proudly above Coniston Village and enjoys superb views of the Lake and surrounding fell ranges, sufficient to tempt the most novice of walkers. The village has a good number of amenities for the self caterer although all the local pubs offer bar food during the day and into the evening. Bluebird Cottage was a former quarry workers cottage and has recently undergone a major refurbishment throughout to create an open plan layout, beautifully furnished with stylish new kitchen, bathroom and living space. The two parking spaces to the side of the cottage are a huge advantage and the sitting out area to the front, with lake views, is sure to be well utilised when our typical Lakeland weather will allow!

Accommodation overview: This former farm workers cottage dating back over 250 years has been sympathetically restored to offer cosy and characterful accommodation location at the foot of Blencathra, 5 miles from Keswick. Threlkeld is steeped in history with its church dating back to 1573 and its two pubs back to 1688.The pubs serve good food and real ale and are only a few minutes walk from the cottage. Blease Cottage is an ideal location to enjoy the peaceful countryside with its many walks from the door, as well as golf and cycling opportunities.There is walking from the cottage to suit all, a level railway path into Keswick, walks on the fells around the village and more challenging walks up onto Blencathra and Skiddaw. The village welcomes holiday makers and has a good bus service to Keswick and Penrith.

Set in Clappersgate within a small complex, just off the road between Ambleside and Skelwith Bridge, at the entrance to the Langdale Valley, Halfway House is in a super position for exploring, with an abundance of walks and cycle paths from the door. The gardens are particularly tranquil and we are sure that every opportunity will be taken to holiday outdoors. With parts of the house dating back to the early 17th Century, the former toll house proudly displays a wealth of original features, too numerous to mention, including a tremendous stone open fireplace which is of particular interest, and is only used as a feature.

Accommodation overview: Row Moor Farm is situated close to both Cockermouth and Maryport, between the Lake District Fells and the Solway Coast. Each of which are within a few minutes drive. You may enjoy gentle walks along the beach or choose more strenuous mountain walks. Cockermouth is famous as the birth place for William Wordsworth but has many other attractions, including The Sheep and Wool Centre, numerous art galleries, the Kirkgate Arts Centre and a good selection of Restaurants, Shops and Pubs. At Maryport there is the Harbour, Maritime museum and Aquarium of the Lakes. The border City of Carlisle is within 30 minutes drive. Barn Cottage and Loft Cottage are adjoining each other on a working farm, next to the owners house.They may be let separately or together for up to 11 people.
