Accommodation overview: LOVELY BRICK/STONE COTTAGE WITH LARGE GARDEN 7 NIGHTS COMMENCING 20TH DECEMBER 2014 WAS FROM 610 NOW FROM 550 An imaginative conversion of half of the former Long Marton railway station (the owners live in the other half) built in 1875 as part of the famous Settle-Carlisle Railway. This cottage is a perfect hideaway and retains many of the station s original features. The Station is located just 3 miles north of the ever popular historic town of Appleby offering a mix of pubs restaurants tearoom and shops. Appleby is a great stop on the Settle-Carlisle Railway route and even now many of the country s steam trains make their way over the historic Ribblehead Viaduct and past Long Marton Station. The Pennine Cycle Way is nearby and the Station is perfect for walkers or hikers too being close to the Pennine way and nestling in the beautiful Eden Valley. Ullswater is a 20 minute drive and the magnificent Lake District. the Yorkshire Dales Northumbria and the Scottish Borders are all within easy reach making this a perfect holiday location. The accommodation offers two bedrooms: family room with 1 king-size and 1 single bed with en-suite WC 1 twin bedroom. An extra bed can be added to the family room if required. Bathroom: Downstairs with bath and shower over and WC.
