Accommodation overview: Located 1,700 feet above sea level, Foulard Cottage is probably the highest cottage in our portfolio. Situated at Nenthead in the North Pennine Hills, 4 miles from Alston, this 17th century detached cottage is full of original features including, beams and open fire. The village has a pub, restaurant, shop and visitor centre at Nenthead mines. Alston is the highest market town in England, with steep cobbled streets and an interesting variety of shops and galleries. This is a panoramic landscape of fells, moors, ravines, valleys, mountains,rivers and waterfalls ( the highest waterfall in England is High Force approximately 10 miles away). Crisscrossed with bridleways, ancient tracks, Englands highest footpath, the Pennine Way and the C2C cycle route, the area is ideal for walking, cycling, pot holing and pony trekking.

Accommodation overview: Dodds Lee is delightful detached farmhouse in the village of Dockray in the heart of the North Eastern Lakes. This spacious cottage is full of character and complimented with excellent facilities. Beautifully furnished throughout to provide a high degree of guest comfort, Dodds Lee is a home from home. Dockray is a quiet hamlet with a pub/restaurant just 300 meters from the house and a great location from which to explore the whole of the Northern Lake District, whether on foot, bike or car. Outdoor activity centres at Glenridding, Rookin House and Rheged lie within easy reach. About 1 mile west of Ullswaters Aira Force (a superb walk from the door), Dodds Lee is easily accessible from the M6, just a 15 minute drive.

Accommodation overview: These cottages, one a Victorian double fronted detached house and the other the converted stables sit in the very heart of Windermere are tucked away behind the main thoroughfare and accessed by a narrow lane opening out into a small courtyard. Nowadays, the horse and carriages have been exchanged for holidaymakers and the ancient buildings have been successfully converted to provide two most interesting cottages with all the desired 21st century facilities that we are so used to but wonderfully married with an Art Nouveau retro theme throughout, perfectly in keeping with the buildings historic past.
