Wifi available.LocationKingham is a beautiful unspoilt Cotswold village with a large open green and some elegant stone and thatch cottages mostly dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is situated in the Evenlode valley in Oxfordshire and is a short drive from the more well known town of Chipping Norton. It is a thriving village with a good sense of community. As well as the pubs there is a good village store and an attractive church. The village is unique amongst Cotswold villages, because it is served by a main line railway station about a mile from the village, the mainline railway station provides regular services to London with services operated by First Great Western Link. Of particular note is the The Kingham Plough which is a quintessential Cotswold Inn and has an outstanding restaurant. According to AA Gill: "The kitchen is a serious restaurant workplace. The bar menu is as fine as any I've seen...anyone thinking of opening a local pub restaurant should come here and see the gold standard." (AA Gill writing in the Sunday Times). Otherwise nearby are Chipping Norton, Stow on the Wold and Burford, with Oxford, Stratford upon Avon and Bath all within a reasonable drive.

Internally, the owners have created a stunning home, which while contemporary it retains a wealth of period features that give a real sense of warmth and 'welcome'. The accommodation, which is set over three floors and with good size rooms throughout, has many period features through out. Including flagstone flooring, beams and mullion windows but of particular appeal is the kitchen which is, as they say, 'where the heart is': a gorgeous light room with a vaulted ceiling and Aga. When we visited the property we came away with the wow factor very much in our minds, we're confident that you'll feel just the same when you walk through the door too! Hunter Court is a luxury holiday house set in the idyllic Cotswold village of Clanfield. This substantial home is very spacious, and is tastefully decorated with a relaxed, family home feel.
The five acre property comprises two fields (often with sheep) and a walled garden of approximately half an acre.
The self-catering holiday retreat is a two minute walk from two cosy 17th century pubs with excellent food and roaring log fires. Clanfield is an ideal location for an outdoor break in Oxfordshire with plenty of walks as well as cycling, fishing and boating (the Thames is only two miles away). Burford is eight miles away, Oxford 21 miles and Cirencester 18 miles.
Heathrow Airport can be reached in an hour and 10 minutes and the nearest train stations are Oxford (21 miles) and Didcot (22 miles), Charlbury (16 miles) and Swindon (17 miles).
