Accommodation overview: A traditional character cottage with uninterrupted harbour views at the seaward end of an attractive row of three, set on rising ground overlooking the Valency river as it tumbles into the picturesque National Trust harbour about 400 yards away.
The cottage is approached by a flight of railed rustic steps that lead up from the private parking area below to a small lawn which fronts the cottage and a stable door which opens first to an entrance porch with an inner glazed door leading to a slate flagged hallway.
At the end of the hall there is an attractive stone floored, modern fitted kitchen with a large picture window to one side and a view over the harbour on the other. A step leads down from the hall into a beamed sitting/dining room which has a feature stone-built fireplace and a wide panoramic window which overlooks the garden and harbour below.
A carpeted staircase leads up to the first floor landing and to one side, a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the corner bath. Also off the landing are two pretty cottage-style bedrooms, the master bedroom has a kingsize bed with a beamed ceiling and fine views of the harbour and the cliffs beyond, the other smaller beamed bedroom has a double bed and a little low window facing the river.
Outside, a low walled garden has two small lawns, flower beds and a large terrace which has wooden garden furniture, perfect for al fresco dining but young children will require supervision. Boscastle harbour is a 2 minute walk as is the main village with its shops and famous 17th century Cobweb Inn. The area offers good cliff and country walking and the long sandy beach at Trebarwith Strand is about 4 miles away.

Accommodation overview: SPACIOUS HOUSE IN SOUGHT AFTER COASTAL VILLAGE This detached period house sits in its own enclosed garden and is a short stroll to the centre of the village of Rock. Rock itself is located in North Cornwall on the north side of the Camel Estuary across from the fishing port of Padstow. It s name comes from the local quarry where the rocks were used as ballast by sailing ships which had unloaded their cargo across the river. The village has many shops including a bakery newsagent and post office a delicatessen and a small but excellent supermarket. Guests will be spoilt by a variety of good restaurants and pubs in Rock or nearby Padstow. Much to see and do: Surfing at Polzeath rent a wetsuit on the beach and have a go. Take the ferry over to the historic fishing port of Padstow and visit Prideaux Place. Sightseeing at St Enodoc Church recovered from the sand dunes and final resting place of Sir John Betjemen. Walk out to the Rumps to look for seals or consult the OS map for a huge variety of local scenic walks. Bike along the Camel Trail on the disused railway line to Wadebridge and Bodmin. Approached via a private drive shared with the owners, the garden gate opens on to a large patio with raised fish pond and flower beds.
The front door leads into a small lobby. An inner door leads to a light, airy dual-aspect living room with French doors opening on to the patio and garden, with views over the creek. A fitted kitchen runs along one wall, and there are comfortable dining and sitting areas with a quarry tiled floor. At the far end, one step leads to a double bedded room with views of the river and forest, and a bathroom W.C. with wash basin and bath with hand shower attachment.
From the living room carpeted stairs lead up to two bedrooms and a shower room W.C. with hand basin and double width shower. The large bedroom has a 5ft double bed and views over the creek and forest. The smaller bedroom has two single beds and a window looking over a pretty fountain, the river and forest. The garden, with lawn, flower beds and barbecue area, is stock fenced, but the proximity of water and wildlife may make it unsuitable for toddlers. Dogs must be kept under control.
Hatt , 1 mile away, has a garage, post office and small shop and there are two village pubs within a 10 minute drive. There are two golf courses including the famous St Mellion (handicap required), yacht clubs and canoeing within a few minutes drive. There is horse riding, walking, and beautiful gardens to visit, and the beaches of Seaton and Whitsand Bay are about 30 minutes drive, as is the historic city of Plymouth with numerous attractions including Europe's largest marine aquarium.
