Accommodation overview: Within a 15 minute drive of the stunning beaches at Crackington Haven, Widemouth Bay and Bude, this deceptively spacious detached barn conversion is set back from a country lane in the middle of a farming hamlet surrounded by fields and woodland.
Ideally situated to enjoy the delights of North Cornwall's beaches, coastal walks, seaside towns and beautiful scenery, Cottage Barn offers cosy and comfortable accommodation and retains much charm and character with exposed beams and stonework. Approached from the driveway where there is parking for 2 cars, the front door set beneath an open porch roof leads directly into an entrance hallway with a tiled floor and coat pegs.
On one side there is a ground floor twin bedroom with an additional single sofa bed, and on the opposite side of the hall is a shower room W.C. with hand basin and a wide shower cubicle. An inner door and three granite steps lead down to a long open-plan living room with a vaulted ceiling at one end. The dining area has a pine dining suite also with a single sofa bed, there is an adjacent well equipped fitted kitchen with a breakfast bar, and at the far end, one step continues down to a pleasant sitting room with comfortable seating overlooking beautiful countryside.
To one side, a low doorway opens to a lovely double glazed conservatory which has a wood burning stove, wicker furniture and French Windows leading out to the terrace and garden. In one corner of the lounge, a spiral staircase leads up to the large galleried master bedroom with a kingsize bed, a 3ft single bed with a pull out guest bed underneath, and an en-suite bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath. The additional beds are in place to offer greater flexibility with a variety of bed combinations.
The enclosed rear garden overlooks the surrounding farmland and has a small lawn, gravel terrace and lower paved patio so that you can follow the sun all day. The garden which borders on to fields containing livestock is fenced but not totally dog proof so please ensure your pets are kept under control at all times.
Wainhouse Corner, just over a mile away, has a pub offering food, garage, and P.O. store and the nearest beach is 4 miles away at Crackington Haven. The holiday resort of Bude has a leisure centre, shops, restaurants, tennis courts and watersport activities, and the picturesque harbour at Boscastle offers stunning coastal walks and scenery; both are approximately 8 miles respectively. The accommodation is reverse level to make the most of the surrounding countryside views. Access from the central hallway is to both bedrooms. These rooms are newly re-furbished and offer a King with en-suite bath and a Twin with en-suite shower, which is also ideal for two couples holidaying together. A central staircase leads up to the vaulted open plan living/dining/kitchen areas. There are windows on all sides affording uninterrupted views to the garden, neighbouring farmland and distant moors. Trelash is on the Cornish Way cycle network and the south west coast path at Boscastle gives access to some dramatic coastal walks with Bodmin Moor providing many rugged scenic walks nearby. The historic houses & gardens at Pencarrow, Prideaux & Lanhydrock are all within a 40 minute drive. Accommodation overview: Only a few minutes from the coastal path and in a wonderful area for walkers, with lovely country views, this attractive detached granite cottage is set in the picturesque farming hamlet of Bosorne on the brow of a hill overlooking Cot Valley which runs down to the boulder strewn beach and rugged coast to the south of Cape Cornwall.
Approached from a lane through a walled and gated grassy garden the front door opens into a small lobby, a wide central hallway with ample hanging space to one side with stairs winding up to the floor above. Off the hall is a very spacious sitting room with a high ceiling and a rather grand granite fireplace. On the other side of the hall is a recently enlarged, attractive kitchen / dining room with modern fitted units and beyond a utility room. There is a new downstairs shower room W.C. with hand basin and a door to a service courtyard at the rear where there are sheds for storage etc.
Upstairs are a bathroom with hand basin and hand shower fitment to the bath, a separate W.C. and three bedrooms, two with a glimpse of the sea at the mouth of the valley. There is one kingsize double room, one twin bedded room and one with bunk beds. Accommodation overview: A comfortable semi detached period cottage located within the small hamlet of Barkla Shop only a 5 minute drive from the sandy beach at Trevaunance Cove. Set to one side of the main coast road between St Agnes and Perranporth on the dramatic North Cornish coastline, just 1 mile east of St Agnes and 3 miles from the popular holiday resort of Perranporth.
This recently extended early 19th century double glazed cottage retains much of the original style and romance of those times along with the modern amenities of present day. Entered from the open gravel driveway where there is parking for 2 cars, five steps lead up through a little hedged and gated garden to the front door which opens directly into a spacious living room with a low beamed ceiling, some exposed stonework and comfortable lounge seating.
To one side of the lounge, two shallow steps lead down to a newly fitted kitchen/breakfast room with dining table and chairs and a half glazed door opens to the garden and parking area which can be seen from the kitchen windows. In one corner of the lounge, carpeted stairs wind up to the first floor landing where there are three attractive bedrooms and a family bathroom W.C. with wash basin and bath with hand shower attachment.

There is a small lawned area to the side of the property overlooking the neighbouring fields - children and pets must be supervised at all times as the garden is not enclosed, and there is a garden shed with recycling facilities. The nearby village of Mithian, half a mile, has a traditional 16th century pub and there is a good selection of local shops, pubs and restaurants in the picturesque village of St Agnes 1 mile away.
Trevaunance Cove is the nearest sandy beach popular with surfers which is 1.5 miles by road or can be reached by footpath across fields, the NT beach of Chapel Porth is 2.5 miles and there is a wide range of activities and a three mile stretch of golden sand in Perranporth a 10 minute drive.
