Accommodation overview: 1 OF 4 LODGES SET IN 8 ACRES WITH WI-FI ACCESS The lodges are situated in 8 acres of secluded and tranquil Cornish countryside with a river flowing through the grounds. It is a haven for wildlife boasting many varieties of birds and wild flowers as well as providing plenty of space for recreation. Perfectly positioned to enjoy the North Cornwall coast which is famed for its spectacular scenery. There are many sheltered coves and fishing villages to explore as well as sandy surfing beaches the closest beach being 3 miles away. You will be spoilt for choice for attractions with something to suit all tastes which include The Milky Way The Eden Project (1 hour drive) and The Tamar Lakes (walking distance) where there is a variety of watersports and fishing. All 4 lodges are south facing detached thoughtfully decorated and furnished overlooking uninterrupted views of the fields bordering the river. Leisure facilities: bikes bike rack and helmets available by arrangement with the owner on arrival. The conservation area includes 2 coarse fishing ponds (roach bream and carp). Outside: adjoining fields and conservation area are also available for use. Shared utility room: with coin-operated washing machines tumble dryer and freezer. Accommodation overview: This large A frame lodge is sited on Hengar Manor Country Park, offering families of all ages, a great base for an activity filled holiday. Mallards, along with its sister properties Drakes and Coots, are all located in Hengar Manor Country Park. Situated a few miles inland from the dramatic North Cornwall coastal towns of Wadebridge, Padstow and Camelford and in an area known for its natural beauty, Hengar Manor offers peace and quiet amongst its 35 acres of gardens, woodland and three fishing lakes. On site facilities also include an outdoor woodland playground, as well as indoor leisure centre with swimming pool and slides and a spa and beauty centre. With such comprehensive leisure facilities on site there really is no need to venture further afield, as no matter how the weather is, there is entertainment for all ages on site. For those wishing to explore the area there are many famous towns, villages or gardens to visit close by, as well as gorgeous beaches within a few miles from Padstow to Tintagel. Mallards is a large 'A frame' lodge style dwelling with entrance gained directly from its small front patio, into the open plan living/dining/kitchen area. This spacious room has comfortable seating for all and a large farmhouse dining table, where meals can be enjoyed and further holiday plans made. The dining area leads into the compact kitchen which provides all the essential equipment needed. With an on-site restaurant offering Italian food and a tavern bar offering a more traditional menu, you may find you eat in less than expected. The ground floor is completed by a twin room and separate shower room with WC and basin. This offers a very flexible and practical sleeping arrangement. The central open-tread staircase leads up to a further two bedrooms and family bathroom with bath, WC and basin. The master bedroom is spacious and has the added advantage of a balcony with seating, protected by the pitched roof of the lodge. The third bedroom is a twin room and runs the length of the lodge, with windows at either end it is light and airy. Heating throughout the lodge is from night storage heaters with extra independent heaters if required, ensuring you stay is warm and cosy all year round. Mallards makes a great family based choice for a holiday where maybe the extra facilities on offer take priority. Accommodation: Ground floor. Accommodation overview: Set in the picturesque fishing village of Mousehole in a delightful cluster of cottages hugging the harbour on the western shore of Mounts Bay, this comfortable attractive accommodation comprises the entire ground floor of a spacious yet traditional terraced fishermans cottage in a quiet lane just around the corner from the harbour and waters edge.
Entered by a glazed front door into a light central hallway, a door on one side opens to a pretty double bedroom with 5 ft kingsize bed and painted natural stone walls. On the opposite side 3 steps lead up to a bright shower room W.C. with hand basin.
At the far end of the hall, a couple of steps lead up to an attractive open plan large living area, with casual comfy seating amidst a nautical themed decor, and a small fitted kitchen/diner.
From the kitchen a rear door and a few steps lead down to a wonderful little sun terrace with lovely clear views of the harbour and sea, through a gated alleyway between the cottages providing a handy short cut to the harbour front.
It is possible to unload outside the property but parking is in the car park 25 yards away. All of the local village stores and shops are 2 minutes walk, Penzance with a wider range of amenities and a mainline railway station is 3 miles, as are the sandy beaches of Long Rock and Marazion.
