Accommodation overview: ENJOYING COUNTRYSIDE LOCATION YET JUST 3 MILES FROM NEWQUAY SLEEPS 4 1 Set within 130 acres of farmland this converted barn has been renovated with much care and attention to provide a comfortable retreat a few miles from the coast and within walking distance of 2 local pubs. Approached via a farm lane this attractive cottage has much to offer with views over farmland with cattle often grazing in the adjoining fields. From the barn you can enjoy walks on the owner s land through varied scenery down to the river or take a stroll along the farm lane in either direction to one of the village pubs. The popular seaside town of Newquay is 3 miles away and offers a range of shops pubs restaurants and excellent surfing. The north coast hosts an abundance of sandy beaches to explore in either direction. The accommodation is set on one floor with beautiful real oak flooring throughout and TWO bedrooms: which can sleep up to 5 adults 1 double with TV and DVD and 1 twin with extra pull-out single. Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC. Lounge/diner: with large dining table and 6 chairs 2 large leather reclining sofas SkyTV DVD and hi-fi. Kitchen: with electric cooker microwave fridge/freezer dishwasher washing machine and a small pine breakfast table. Outside: french doors open onto a raised decked area with steps and a slope leading onto a large fully-enclosed lawn garden. BBQ and garden furniture supplied. Amenities: ample parking. Accommodation overview: This attractive comfortable and welcoming stone cottage is in the middle of the fishing village, about 75 yards from the harbour and adjacent to a millstream which runs through a neighbour's garden.
Entered by a stable door directly from the road, there is a beamed, newly fitted kitchen with a slate floor and pine dining area. The sitting room with a window seat set into a bay over the stream, has a stone fireplace with coal effect fire. At the rear of the cottage is a hall / cloaks area and a bathroom W.C. with hand basin, shower over the bath and heated towel rail.
Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with two single beds, the other a double has an en-suite W.C. and basin. Slightly set apart from the cottage, a sunny patio garden at the rear has a bench seat, however pets will require supervision outside. The cottage is not suitable for toddlers. Although narrow cars may be unloaded outside, the village car park is at the top of the hill. The shops, inns and restaurants are all close at hand.
Please note: Bed linen is available at £10 per double & £5 per single to be paid on arrival. Towels are not available. A weekly parking ticket currently costs £28 in the council car park, or £18 in Trewetha Lane car park, a slightly longer walk.

Accommodation overview: A waterside retreat in an AONB, this detached double glazed cottage is a delight for nature lovers. Quiet and secluded, it sits on the banks of a tidal creek with views over it to oak woodland and fields beyond. The area has an abundance of birds and wildlife. Approached via a private drive shared with the owners, the garden gate opens on to a large patio with raised fish pond and flower beds.
The front door leads into a small lobby. An inner door leads to a light, airy dual-aspect living room with French doors opening on to the patio and garden, with views over the creek. A fitted kitchen runs along one wall, and there are comfortable dining and sitting areas with a quarry tiled floor. At the far end, one step leads to a double bedded room with views of the river and forest, and a bathroom W.C. with wash basin and bath with hand shower attachment.
From the living room carpeted stairs lead up to two bedrooms and a shower room W.C. with hand basin and double width shower. The large bedroom has a 5ft double bed and views over the creek and forest. The smaller bedroom has two single beds and a window looking over a pretty fountain, the river and forest. The garden, with lawn, flower beds and barbecue area, is stock fenced, but the proximity of water and wildlife may make it unsuitable for toddlers. Dogs must be kept under control.
Hatt , 1 mile away, has a garage, post office and small shop and there are two village pubs within a 10 minute drive. There are two golf courses including the famous St Mellion (handicap required), yacht clubs and canoeing within a few minutes drive. There is horse riding, walking, and beautiful gardens to visit, and the beaches of Seaton and Whitsand Bay are about 30 minutes drive, as is the historic city of Plymouth with numerous attractions including Europe's largest marine aquarium.

Accommodation overview: Just 2 miles inland from the beautiful sandy beaches of Bude and Widemouth Bay on the North Cornwall Coast, this attractive semi detached period cottage is situated in a peaceful location on the edge of the village of Marhamchurch. Situated in a little cluster of cottages set at the end of a long unmade lane, the property offers a perfect base for exploring the spectacular coastline nearby with the dramatic South West Coast Path and stunning beaches just a 10 minute drive.
A stable door opens under heavy blooms of wisteria in summer, directly into a useful entrance porch with coat pegs on the wall and the original low front doorway leads into a small lobby. On the left, one step leads down to a neatly fitted kitchen with the original slate flagstones and on the opposite side of the lobby, one step leads up to a charming beamed dining room with pine furniture and an electric log effect fire in the hearth.
Beyond, in an extension to the original cottage, a doorway leads through to a warm and cosy sitting room with a beamed ceiling and comfortable lounge seating next to a Cornish stone fireplace with a log effect electric fire. To complete the ground floor accommodation, a door in one corner of the dining room opens to a walk-in shower room W.C. with small hand basin and heated towel rail.
A rather steep and narrow carpeted staircase leads up from the lobby to the first floor landing and three pretty cottage-style bedrooms all with washbasins; there is a double bedroom, a twin bedded room and one with a single bed. A stable door opens from the sitting room to an enclosed patio that provides a lovely sun trap and visitors are welcome to make use of the shared lawned garden surrounding the cottages reached by half a dozen steps. There is on-site parking for one car adjacent to the cottage.
The seaside resort of Bude with its golden sandy beaches, selection of shops and restaurants,and a leisure pool is approximately 2 miles by road. It is possible to walk or cycle to Bude along the scenic canal footpath passing through farmland and a nature reserve, surfing,fishing, golf and horse riding are also available locally. The picturesque villages of Boscastle, Tintagel and Clovelly are all within half an hour’s drive.
