Accommodation overview: Lovely detached, reverse level, barn conversion on Owners farm, with fantastic indoor swimming pool, sauna and hot tub Wheatley Barn, along with its sister property Bedford Cottage, forms part of a Cornish working dairy farm. Sited next to open farmland, in an area known for its natural beauty, you are sure to enjoy peace and tranquillity amidst comfortable surroundings. Both cottages have access to a fantastic indoor leisure facility, adjacent to the Owners farmhouse. This includes a full length heated swimming pool, authentic sauna and large hot tub. With an outdoor adventure play area for children too, there really is no need to venture further afield, as no matter what the weather is like, there is entertainment for all ages on site. However for those wishing to venture further, there are many famous towns and villages to visit close by, as well as gorgeous beaches within a few miles, at Crackington Haven and Bude.
Entrance to Wheatley Barn is through the bright and airy conservatory with views to the front garden and patio area. This room has a sofa-futon which gives a very flexible sleeping arrangement. The accommodation is reverse level to make the most of the surrounding countryside views. Access from the central hallway is to both bedrooms. These rooms are newly re-furbished and offer a King with en-suite bath and a Twin with en-suite shower, which is also ideal for two couples holidaying together. A central staircase leads up to the vaulted open plan living/dining/kitchen areas. There are windows on all sides affording uninterrupted views to the garden, neighbouring farmland and distant moors. Comfortable seating around the fireplace with wood-burner, ensures a cosy welcome all year round. The dining area with picture windows overlooking the farmyard, means all meal times will pass happily, as you watch the daily routines unfold. The farmhouse style kitchen is well equipped with a central island for the hob and cooker and further integrated appliances. Everyday comfort is further ensured throughout the cottage, with oil fired central heating. Outside there is a lovely enclosed garden with some tiered levels and access to the enclosed children’s play area. Accommodation overview: Koweth forms one of three terraced cottages which provide cosy, warm and comfortable accommodation within The Eco Village. This end of terrace property is decorated to a good standard and is perfect for both small family gatherings and couples alike. This property is also perfectly suitable for the more elderly as it’s arranged on one level both inside and out.
On entering the property through the large French windows, access is straight into a cosy but well furnished and equipped lounge/kitchen/ diner with electric living flame fire and flat screen TV. The lounge is on one side which provides comfortable seating and a fully fitted kitchen/ diner on the opposite side.
Off the main lounge area, a rear hallway leads to the bedrooms which consist of one double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, shower over and WC and one twin bedroom with en-suite shower room and WC.

You can also watch the wildlife on and around the river from the large hide overlooking the River Ottery on the Devon and Cornwall boundary. There are webcams set up to capture the wildlife around the farm which can be viewed on the TV in your cottage you may be lucky enough to watch swallows eggs hatching in the nest or bats leaving an old barn. A wonderful centre for visiting Cornwall and Devon. Many all year round attractions are within easy travelling distance including The Eden Project (purchase discounted fast track tickets available from farmhouse) Plymouth Aquarium Morwellham Quay and King Arthur s Castle at Tintagel. Leisure facilities: visitors can try their hand at clay pigeon shooting or fishing (both fly and coarse) on the beautiful River Ottery or on the smaller Boles Bridge stream which meander though the farm. Accommodation overview: At one end of a row of fisherman's cottages built with their backs to the coastal approach road to Portmellon, Corner Cottage is right by the sea, the sound and sight of it fills the windows. A long low walled patio serves both this cottage and the one next door.
There are steps down onto the rocks, where visitors can fish at high tide, or onto the sand at low tide. Comfortably furnished for holiday accommodation, the cottage retains much of the simplicity of a genuine Cornish cottage, with an entrance from the road leading into a small hallway with an adjacent bathroom / W.C. and basin. A long beamed sitting room takes up the full width of the cottage.
On the floor above are three bedrooms, a double with vanity basin, one with twin beds, the third with bunks. Beneath the sitting room is a kitchen / dining room and a utility entrance hall, shower and a W.C. with hand basin. The back door opens to the patio, also reached by gated steps, down from the road. Small children will require supervision both inside and out.
Free use of an all year indoor swimming pool is available at Bodrugan Farm, half a mile. Free parking for 2 cars is available in a private yard about 200 yards away. Portmellon has safe bathing and a seasonal pub. Mevagissey, its more famous neighbour, is about half a mile along the coast.

Drakes, along with its sister properties Mallards and Coots, are all located in Hengar Manor Country Park. Situated a few miles inland from the dramatic North Cornwall coastal towns of Wadebridge, Padstow and Camelford and in an area known for its natural beauty, Hengar Manor offers peace and quiet amongst its 35 acres of gardens, woodland and three fishing lakes. On site facilities also include an outdoor woodland playground, as well as indoor leisure centre with swimming pool and slides and a spa and beauty centre. With such comprehensive leisure facilities on site there really is no need to venture further afield, as no matter how the weather is, there is entertainment for all ages on site. Drakes is a large 'A frame' lodge style dwelling and is part of a terrace of five properties. Entrance is gained directly from a small front patio, where garden furniture allows you to sit in a nice sunny space. Be prepared to welcome the feathered visitors who regularly come calling for some left-over bread or cakes and who the lodge is named after. Double patio doors open into the open plan living and dining area. This spacious room has comfortable seating for all and a large farmhouse pine dining table. This is an ideal spot to plan what exciting activity to sample next and where meals can be enjoyed. The compact alcove kitchen opens from the inner hallway and provides all the essential equipment needed for holiday meals. However with an on-site restaurant offering Italian food and a tavern bar offering a more traditional menu, you may find you eat in less than expected. The ground floor is completed by a twin room and both a family bathroom with WC and basin, as well as a separate shower room with WC and basin. This offers a very flexible and practical sleeping arrangement. The central open-tread staircase leads up to a further two bedrooms. These two large rooms are almost the same size, offering lots of space, which is ideal if you are travelling with a young child and need to place a travel cot. The spacious master bedroom has the added advantage of a balcony with seating, protected by the pitched roof of the lodge. Heating throughout the lodge is from night storage heaters with extra independent heaters if required, ensuring you stay is warm and cosy all year round.
