Miranda Cottage is a fantastic thatched house, built to an extremely high standard and situated in a quiet village close to the Helford River. As you approach Miranda you cannot believe that this beautiful holiday home is only two years old, as immense attention to detail in using locally sourced architectural items, has enhanced its charming appearance. Sited next to open farmland in an area known for its outstanding natural beauty, you are sure to enjoy peace and tranquillity amidst luxurious surroundings. There are many famous towns, villages and gardens to visit on the doorstep, as well as gorgeous National Trust beaches within a few miles. Entrance to Miranda is through the bright and airy conservatory and this feeling of light continues through each of the spacious ground floor rooms. The living room is double aspect giving views to the garden and the neighbouring farmland, with a massive granite lintel fireplace, housing the oil fired wood-burner, ensuring a cosy welcome year round. There are French doors to the garden and pretty gothic windows. The dining room has stained glass artwork reflecting the property name and a turning Douglas fir staircase with slate floors, as do all the ground floor rooms. The farmhouse kitchen is impressive with a black Aga and polished granite worktops. There are three spacious bedrooms on the first floor. Both the master en-suite and the family bathroom have free standing roll top, claw foot, baths with hand held shower attachments. These lovely bathrooms are perfect for a relaxing soak after a busy fun filled day. Everyday comfort is further ensured throughout the cottage, with under-floor central heating. Miranda nestles privately behind its tall gated entrance and the gravelled driveway offers ample parking. You will be a short drive to a host of long sandy surfing beaches sheltered coves and picturesque fishing villages such as the famous Doc Martin village of Port Isaac and a wealth of attractions to suit all tastes which include Tintagel with its legends of King Arthur and his knights of the round table Launceston Steam Railway National Sea Life Aquarium and numerous National Trust properties and gardens to name but a few.
