Accommodation overview: Hidden Cottage, a traditional mid terrace built in the 18th century, is situated close to Coniston Water and village and is within walking distance of two excellent Lakeland Inns. The Farmers Arms, just across the road from the cottage, has been trading since the 16th century and serves excellent bar meals and local ales. Hidden Cottage is beautifully presented and very comfortable and has all the essential ingredients you would expect of a quality holiday cottage; open beams, a log burning stove and a delightful elevated garden which has fine, open views across nearby farmland. The summer house is the perfect spot to sit and take in the evening sunshine or even to enjoy on wetter days. Hidden Cottage is a super property and once found, we hope never forgotten.

Accommodation overview: Croft Cottage is located in the heart of Braithwaite village, which lies at the foot of Grisedale Pike and Whinlatter Pass. The cottage which dates back to 1868 was formerly a barn which has been converted into two dwellings and has been fully modernised and refurbished to the same high standard as the owners other properties, Millerdale and Kiln How in Threlkeld. The village boasts a shop, 2 pubs serving bar meals and a restaurant all within walking distance and all accept pets. Keswick is only 2 miles away where you will find an abundance of amenities and visitor attractions. You can walk from the door in Braithwaite and there are some of the best mountain bike tracks in Whinlatter forest. There are fell views from the bedroom windows. Outside the cottage is an unloading area, ample on street parking and a gravelled garden with seating area.

The owner has created a wonderful cosy environment with an open fire, a multi fuel stove and good quality pine furnishings and co ordinated linens, in keeping with a near 200 year old cottage. Roses Cottage is situated at Santon Village, which comprises a single row of cottages. The nearest amenities are in Gosforth, 2 miles, where you will find shops, pubs and tea rooms and the Bridge inn at Santon Bridge is within walking distance, approx, 1 mile. This area of the Lake District is far more tranquil than the honeypot areas of central Lakeland and boasts the deepest lake, Wastwater and the highest mountain, Sca Fell Pike. From the cottage garden the stunning outlook is across open fields towards Englands favourite view.

Accommodation overview: This delightful 4 Star rated, stone built cottage enjoys a tranquil rural setting, mid way between Cockermouth and Loweswater in the Western Lakes. It sits on the banks of Sandy Beck, a haven for wildlife and birdlife, including deer, red squirrels and kingfishers. The Smithy was converted from the former Blacksmiths forge by the owners in 2008. They retained the character, with vaulted ceilings and wooden beams and complemented it with the use of high quality furnishings throughout. Lorton, Crummock Water and Buttermere are nearby, with spectacular walks on the surrounding fells. The nearest pub serving bar meals is 2 miles and a wealth of amenities are available in the vibrant market town of Cockermouth, 4 miles. The accommodation is all on ground floor, which may be helpful for people with mobility problems.
