Accommodation overview: SITUATED ON THE EDGE OF A CANAL This detached barn is situated on the edge of the canal where you can sit back and watch this slower pace of life go by. If you are tempted to join in, day hire for narrow boats is approximately 200 metres along the canal and electric boat hire is 4 miles away. All boats can be moored outside the property. Enjoy a walk or bike ride along the canal path to Bradford-on-Avon, Avoncliff aqueduct and Semington village. Why not try a spot of fishing from the patio at no extra cost. The Roman city of Bath, steeped in history with its new bath spas, shops, pubs, restaurants, theatre and other leisure activities is 10 miles away. Bradford-on-Avon (2 miles) has delightful shops and restaurants, historic inns and cafes that line the narrow streets. You will be easily accessible to explore other charming Cotswolds towns and villages, such as Laycock with its Abbey and gardens and the market towns of Devizes with the famous Caen Hill flight of locks and Chippenham. The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: on the ground floor accommodation 1 twin with TV. Upstairs 1 double with TV and a separate dressing room approached via steep stairs that are enclosed with stair gates. The stairs are not recommended for children or babies but a cot can be put in the hallway outside the ground floor bedroom. Bathroom: with corner bath, shower attachment with screen to bath and WC. Lounge/diner: with canal views, TV, video, DVD, Freeview and French doors. Kitchen: with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and a casual seating area with TV. Outside: French doors lead onto a small patio with seating. There is an enclosed garden for children but it is recommended that they are supervised. Amenities: parking for 2 cars. Bed linen, electric and central heating included. Regret no smoking or pets. Additional info: please be aware the outside patio area is for adults only as it is right on the water's edge with no fencing. Accommodation overview: These former barns at Greenah Crag were converted in 2009 to 2 stunning holiday cottages which can be let separately or together for up to 8 people. Old Corner Barn has a spacious open plan living area on the first floor and bedrooms on the ground floor, while The Stables is ground floor accommodation suitable for the disabled, with wheelchair access and a wet room. The owners have furnished and equipped them to a high standard to provide superior self catering accommodation. Greenah Crag is situated close to Troutbeck, between Keswick and Penrith in a lovely rural location, yet only 10 minute drive from the M6. This central location is ideal, with Ullswater to the South, Keswick to the East and the Caldbeck Fells to the North, all are within a 20 minute drive and offer beautiful scenery and great walks.
