You can also watch the wildlife on and around the river from the large hide overlooking the River Ottery on the Devon and Cornwall boundary. There are webcams set up to capture the wildlife around the farm which can be viewed on the TV in your cottage you may be lucky enough to watch swallows eggs hatching in the nest or bats leaving an old barn. A wonderful centre for visiting Cornwall and Devon. Many all year round attractions are within easy travelling distance including The Eden Project (purchase discounted fast track tickets available from farmhouse) Plymouth Aquarium Morwellham Quay and King Arthur s Castle at Tintagel. Binham is a beautiful, peaceful village retaining all the charm and character of a bygone age. The village has the remains of an early 12th century Benedictine priory, where classical concerts are held throughout the summer and the whole area is steeped in history. The Georgian town of Holt is five miles away with the harbour town of Wells four miles away. Also nearby is the picturesque village of Blakeney, where narrow streets slope down to the tidal creek, and which offers sailing and beautiful coastal and marshland walks. The well-stocked village shop is a legendary village institution, as are the excellent butcher, gift shop and pub with its own micro-brewery.
