Accommodation overview: DETACHED BARN A STONE S THROW OF CHEW VALLEY LAKE This stylish barn conversion is situated in a small village within the Chew Valley. Lying north of the Mendip Hills approximately 10 miles south of Bristol a short drive to Weston-Super-Mare Bath and Cheddar makes this an ideal base from which to enjoy all that this beautiful county has to offer. The village itself has a large village hall two pubs and several shops including the Post Office a tennis club and campsite. Next to the village hall are sports pitches. The lake is a popular place for children adults and the elderly alike with beautiful views and entertainment such as fishing sailing and bird watching. There is a museum and tea shop on one side of the lake and a restaurant on the other. The accommodation is all on one level and offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin with TV/DVD. Shower room: with WC. Lounge/kitchen/diner: open-plan with TV/DVD dining table and French doors leading to the enclosed garden with countryside views. Accommodation overview: This spacious L shaped barn is entered through the front door into a hallway and to one side is the master bedroom with a kingsize double bed and an en-suite shower room W.C. with hand basin.
On the opposite side, the entrance hall leads through to a bathroom W.C. with wash basin and shower over the bath, a twin bedded room and a delightful living room. There is a fully fitted farmhouse style kitchen/diner with doors leading out to the beautiful grounds and a work bar divides the comfortably furnished leather sitting area with natural wood flooring and with a ceiling open to the apex of the roof.
An additional conservatory and large greenhouse providing fabulous extra space for dining and entertaining adjoins the living room.
Stairs from the hallway lead up to a gallery landing which provides an extra casual seating/play area and to one side a door opens to a large bedroom with two single beds underneath the eaves. The owners provide free charcoal/firelighters for the barbecue and can arrange for scallops, lobster, crab, fish (all weather and season dependent) to be delivered from local fishermen.

Accommodation overview: Sheltering in a wooded valley on the fringes of Bodmin Moor, this is an ideal location from which to explore the best of Cornwall’s countryside and coastline with the North and South coast just a 30 minute drive. This traditional 200 year old terraced cottage is close to the 15th century parish church, in the heart of the pretty village of St Neot, a former winner of Britain’s Best Village.
Slades Cottage provides warm and cosy accommodation benefiting from central heating and double glazing yet retains its considerable charm and character. One step leads up to the low front doorway which opens directly into a deceptively spacious sitting room with a high beamed ceiling and rugs on the original slate flagstones. Comfortable lounge seating is arranged before the decorative Cornish stone fireplace with the original cloam oven and an electric coal effect fire that provides an attractive focal point. At the rear, two steps lead up to a small inner lobby with an adjacent cloakroom W.C. with hand basin and a recently upgraded fitted kitchen/dining room with a slate tiled floor and traditional fireplace.
A fully glazed door opens from the kitchen to a little sheltered courtyard with a small bistro table and chairs catching the morning sun. In one corner of the lounge, cottage stairs wind up to the first floor landing where there are two pleasantly furnished bedrooms with deep set windows. The master bedroom has a double and single bed and sloping wooden floorboards and the second smaller bedroom has twin 2ft 6in beds. A modern bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath completes the accommodation. Parking on the road close to the cottage is unrestricted.
St Neot has a local shop, pub and social club open to non-members within a two minute walk and there are several village pubs within a short drive, the nearest being 4 miles. For a wider selection of amenities the towns of Bodmin and Liskeard are a 15 minute drive. There are an abundance of footpaths nearby both on the moor and along the scenic River Fowey and fishing is available at Colliford and Siblyback Lakes, 4.5 miles respectively, the latter also has water sports facilities. Carnglaze Caverns, Lanhydrock House and the Eden Project are all within easy reach and the unique shopping experience at Trago Mills is a 5 minute drive. The sandy beach at Looe offers safe bathing and pleasure boat trips depart from the quayside.

Accommodation overview: Bullens Bank Cottage is a holiday property which has one of the most spectacular views imaginable. It is, literally, amazing. Situated on the edge of the hillside it looks out towards some stunning English countryside, for miles and miles. Internally this holiday cottage is very cosy and traditional: secluded, low ceilings plus wood burning stoves all adding to the appeal of this 200 year old building. The cottage is surrounded by a private garden and fields. This cottage is astonishing for its view alone but also offers superb value for money. The owners also have another property about 100 yards away down the hill, ideal for slightly larger groups, called Llangain. A little further afield you can explore the beautiful beaches of the Norfolk coast or the vibrant cathedral city of Norwich where you will find a huge selection of places to eat, theatres and galleries 1 & 2 Brick Kiln Barns are two charming single storey cottages based on the footprint of an ancient brick moulding barn in the pretty village of Dilham. They stand to the rear of the owner's property overlooking open farmland where the area is perfect for bird watching with several RSPB reserves in the vicinity. Guests are welcome to relax on the lawns and you can use the canoe launching site into a quiet branch of the River Ant, however the fishing rights are reserved for the local kingfishers and the occasional otter.
