Accommodation overview: COUNTRYSIDE LOCATION WITH RIVER FISHING AND LAKE ON SITE - SLEEPS 2 2 This delightful property which is approached by external steps has been refurbished to a high standard. Situated in a beautiful part of North Devon approximately 2 miles from the village of Woolsery which has a post office shop and fish and chip shop. The cottage is adjoining the owner s farmhouse (where a warm welcome awaits but privacy is assured) and opposite a working dairy farm. Enjoys a good size private garden with access to fields that run down to the riverbank and lake. Ideal for summer picnics or for those just wanting to relax and watch the varied wildlife with deer kingfishers otters badgers and foxes often being spotted. The property is only a short drive from the beautiful Devon and Cornwall coastline with its spectacular towering cliffs rocky shorelines and long stretches of sandy beaches. The area provides wonderful walking opportunities with the coastal path and the famous Tarka Trail which gives many miles of safe track for both walking and cycling. Hartland Quay and the picturesque village of Clovelly with its steep cobbled street are also within easy reach. Away from the coast there are lots to see and do with many attractions including RHS Rosemoor Gardens Tapeley Park Gardens and the wide open spaces of Exmoor and Dartmoor with their breathtaking scenery. For the children The Milky Way and The Big Sheep are only a short drive. Leisure facilities: fishing on site please bring your own rods. Use of giant outdoor chess set. Farm activities: children are welcome to collect the eggs from the free range hens and feed the chickens by prior arrangement. The accommodation which has some steps and gentle sloping floors in places offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double with flatscreen TV large en-suite shower room and WC and 1 twin (with zip-and-link which can be a double on request). Bathroom: off the kitchen family size with shower over bath WC and washer/dryer in separate cupboard accessed via a couple of steps. Accommodation overview: Oak and May Cottages are two very well presented properties converted from a stone barn. Set in their own grounds at the head of a stunning rural valley, the properties boast lovely views from the garden across farmland. The accommodation (adjacent to the owners' home) is cleverly set out over two floors and is ideally suited to a couple or young family. Whilst the cottages are available individually, they may also suit two families looking for adjacent accommodation sleeping up to eight in total. The cottages are in a wonderful setting of outstanding natural beauty overlooking farmland, and just 1 1/2 miles from the beautiful estuary town of Salcombe, with its spectacular coastline and fine sandy beaches. The village of Malborough - with two pubs, post office/village stores and garage - is only third of a mile away. Salcombe and Malborough can now be reached via a newly constructed cycle/walk path accessed from the top of the drive.All guests have access to the outdoor solar heated swimming pool (usually available from late May to the end of September) and are welcome to meet the resident herd of Shetland ponies!
