Brixham harbour and town with shops restaurants free outdoor seasonal swimming pool and Breakwater beach with its bistro is a 15 minute walk downhill. If you prefer the local bus service stops near the apartment and goes to the town centre. During the season fishing trips leave from the harbour and there is a seasonal ferry service to Torquay and Dartmouth as well as bus connections to all over Devon. Nearby English Heritage and National Trust properties include Agatha Christie s Greenaway estate and Coleton Fishacre. Traditional seaside beaches and attractions are close by at Broadsands Goodrington Paignton and Torquay. Plymouth with its Hoe and Barbican is a little further as is Exeter with its magnificent cathedral and quayside both make for an excellent day trip. The accommodation has sea views from the lounge dining area and balcony and offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin. Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC. Accommodation overview: GROUND FLOOR APARTMENT LOCATED IN QUIETER AREA IN BRIXHAM This spacious ground floor flat is arranged on one level and situated in a peaceful area of the historic town of Brixham. The harbour and town is a 15 minute walk away or if you would rather catch the bus from the bus stop opposite the property. Once in the town you are spoilt for choice. You might wish to sample the food in one of the many restaurants or stroll around one of Britain s most beautiful working harbours you may even want to have an attempt at crabbing! Take a boat trip to fully appreciate the magnificent UNESCO Geo Park coastline. Shoalstone Beach and Shoalstone outdoor seawater pool are a short walk away as is Berry Head Country Park with wonderful sea views across Torbay and the English Channel. Follow the coast path and experience the unspoilt coves along the way. Then come home and relax on the south facing patio. Venturing further afield you can catch the ferry from Brixham or a traditional steam train from Paignton to Dartmouth which has a good selection of shops and restaurants. There are panoramic views of the harbour and marina from every floor and a large balcony where you can sit back and relax overlooking the bustling old fish quay. You will be a stone s throw away from the harbour where there are a multitude of boats offering pleasure or fishing trips to visitors an array of colourful cottages and numerous seafood restaurants cafes shops and pubs. The English Riviera offers some of the best beaches in the country with sheltered bays coves and rock pools and is the perfect arena to watch or partake in any number of water sports including scuba diving and sailing. You will also be within a short drive to Torquay where you ll find the palm-lined promenade seafront gardens a lively harbour and an international marina. There are many attractions to suit all tastes including Brixham Heritage Museum Kents Cavern Babbacombe Model Village Kingswear/Dartmouth (10 minutes drive) and much more.
