The cottage interior is surprisingly spacious and offers character features such as exposed stonework low ceilings and exposed beams. Lots to see with many activities within a short drive. Fishing (Stafford Moor Fishery) horse riding (bridle path leads almost direct from the cottage) or walk the surrounding land which is a picture of daffodils in the spring. The village of High Bickington is 20 minutes walk and has 2 pubs a church and a small shop/Post Office. The regional centre of Barnstaple is 20 minutes drive and offers a large selection of shops bars restaurants and leisure facilities. Also nearby is the town of Great Torrington where you can take a trip to the museum of 1646 step back in time to watch the re-enactment of the Battle of Torrington. Other attractions include RHS Rosemoor Gardens or Dartington Crystal enjoy a spot of lunch or flash the cash in the superb gift shop.
