Accommodation overview: Surprisingly spacious character cottage nestling in an idyllic country location. This charming semi detached cottage, adjacent to the owners own home, nestles in stunning, tranquil Devonshire countryside. With its spacious interior and good size fully enclosed garden, Jackdaw cottage makes an ideal base for families or couples alike who will love the original and sometimes quirky character features. Stroll down the garden path and through the listed front doorway into a large hallway and on to the spacious comfortable sitting room with an impressive inglenook fireplace made cosy by a wood burning stove. A special feature of the light, bright and newly fitted dining kitchen is a huge oak beam with vaulted ceiling and a separate utility room provides even more space. Just off the utility room an additional ground floor bathroom is ideal for use after those muddy walks or visits to the beach. Upstairs you will discover the quirky nature of this historic cottage in the uneven walls and floor, all adding to the charm, and where two attractive bedrooms are served by a modern family bathroom. Guests have full private use of the lawned front gardens, which are fully enclosed, and the rear area has lovely views over the valley. Accommodation: Ground floor. Hall. Accommodation overview: A modern detached property enjoying fabulous uninterrupted and far reaching views of open countryside, just a mile from the sea. A fantastic place for walkers being ten minutes from the South West Coast Path. If you like waking up to far reaching, panoramic views of beautiful open countryside then you'll love Slee's Meadow View. You might also love the fact that this delightful, tastefully decorated modern detached property is just a mile from the sea and the very lovely yet rarely crowded Peppercombe Beach. At high tide this quiet stretch of beach is rocky but low tide will reveal deserted sands and some of the best rock pooling in the area. Little explorers love it! Even in high summer you could be alone here. The walk, through the wooded National Trust owned Peppercombe Valley, is superb and takes about 10-15 minutes. Dogs and their owners will love it - especially as the coast path is just 10 minute's stroll from the property.
Slee's Meadow View is also just a ten minute drive from the surf and sands at Westward Ho!, five minutes from the Big Sheep theme park, five minutes from The Milky Way fun park, ten minutes from the quaint village and harbour at Clovelly and about 30-40 minutes drive along the coast road to the surf and beaches at Bude.
Slee's Meadow View has a large open plan living, dining and kitchen area so it's a very social house to spend time in. A breakfast bar provides informal dining (or a chance to scrutinise the work of the chef whilst enjoying a glass of wine) and a large dining table with six places and a rise and fall lamp can bring a sense of occasion if you need it! On cooler nights the wood burning stove will add an extra cosy feel too. The southerly aspect means that the sun streams in through patio doors on sunny days and the conservatory, with its bookcases and comfy Chesterfield sofa, offers a quiet space to read or take in the views. Both bedrooms are spacious and have patio doors to make the most of the views.
You can step out into the large fenced rear garden from the conservatory - as well as from both bedrooms - to eat, enjoy the views or let the children and pets play (the garden is 'dog-proofed'). The bedrooms are served by a bright family bathroom.
Slee's Meadow View makes a great base for exploring this quiet and beautiful corner of North Devon. Whilst the outlook is rural, the house is close to the coast, RHS Rosemoor, local attractions and some great country pubs. The Coach and Horses at Horns Cross is just across the road too!

Accommodation overview: Grove Cottage is a very cosy and comfortable holiday home within quick and easy reach of Bantham village and its superb sandy beach and surfing waters. The property is, in fact, two adjoining country cottages and a barn (hence the house sign reading 'Grove Cottages'!) that were integrated and subsequently refurbished by the current owners.
