In association with Trinity House, Rural Retreats is pleased to present Warden at Bull Point Lighthouse.
Warden (with accommodation for two guests) is one of four refurbished former lighthouse keepers' cottages at the lighthouse which lies is just outside of Mortehoe in North Devon.
The perimeter of the site is fully fenced and gated but once outside this area, it is very dangerous for children staying at the holiday cottage. Strict supervision at all times is recommended, as not all guests will remember to keep the gate closed and locked.
This lighthouse does not have a fog signal.
Country access roads to some of the lighthouse sites are narrow with limited passing places and, dependent on the season and site, there is the possibility of overhanging vegetation due to cutting restrictions during bird breeding seasons or other environmental reasons.
Guests should be aware that the lighthouses and equipment need regular and sometimes emergency maintenance. Therefore visits by maintenance staff may occur at any time during the year. However, staff will do their best to ensure guest privacy at all times.

Accommodation overview: Lovely stone cottage in a peaceful location yet within a few minutes walk of the village centre Thatcher’s Leggett is a lovely stone cottage nestling in the grounds of the owners own beautiful 16th century thatched Devon Longhouse, just a few minutes stroll from the village centre and path leading to fabulous Croyde Bay. Perfect for keen walkers, there is also a bridleway / footpath leading from the doorstep all the way to the stunning beach at Putsborough around 20 minutes away. The light, bright and spacious open plan living room with kitchen and dining area boasts a high vaulted ceiling, comfy seating and a wood burning stove, making it the cosiest of retreats at any time of year. An attractive twin bedroom is also situated on the ground floor together with a modern bathroom.
