Lee Copse nestles quietly in the grounds of the owner's own home which include three acres of wonderful natural woodland, carpeted during the changing seasons with primroses, violets and bluebells, where guests are welcome to roam and enjoy the wildlife. Being on the hillside, Lee Copse is approached by a fairly steep driveway and path, but there is plenty of turning and parking space on site. Accommodation is arranged all on one level with an open plan living room and together with the wood-burning stove makes a cosy retreat. The two bedrooms are served by a bathroom. The cottage has its own spring water supply, regularly tested. This is a lovely spot to unwind and enjoy the natural surroundings of the changing seasons, making a perfect hideaway for you and your pets. This delightful cottage, as the name suggests, is a former coastguard's cottage in the small hamlet of Stoke between Hartland Quay and Hartland village. Very comfortable throughout, the living room benefits from a wood burning stove set in an attractive stone fireplace, surrounded by two terracotta coloured sofas. There is a separate dining room with a feature fireplace and a modern fitted well equipped kitchen. You can enjoy the countryside views to the sea beyond from the half landing leading to three attractive bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor. Very large mature gardens extend some two hundred feet, with several sloping lawned areas with shrubs and small covered pond. A paved patio sits adjacent to the house to enjoy al fresco meals or simply relax on warm summer evenings. The scenery along this coastline is truly dramatic and Hartland Abbey, the pretty village of Clovelly and Speke Mill with its seventy-foot waterfall are close by. Set on the edge of the peaceful village of Lee Bay it offers breathtaking scenery and cliff-top coastal walks with unrivalled scenery from your front door. You will be a 10 minutes drive from the popular long sandy beaches of Woolacombe and Croyde. The location is also perfect for exploring the Tarka Cycling Trail a little further on is the National Trust area of Heddons Mouth and on to the wild expanses of Exmoor. It is great for dog walking romantic evening strolls and rambling. When the tide is out Lee Bay reveals a sandy beach ideal for the children offering swimming canoeing rock pooling mermaids and even pirates have been rumoured to have been seen! In the evening take a stroll to the traditional village pub The Grampus Inn which serves great local food real ales and fantastic cream teas. In fact you will find all the ingredients for the perfect break in North Devon right on your door step. Both properties are fully self-contained and have their own private entrance and charming gardens to relax in and enjoy.
