A most unique and unusual home, The Round House sits next to Cairn Nature Reserve enjoying extensive views over the town and out towards the Bristol Channel. Approached by a sweeping drive and surrounded by its own beautifully landscaped and private gardens it has been a frequent winner of "Ilfracombe in Bloom" Built in 1910 by a local builder who had been set the challenge of constructing a completely round home, all rooms are spacious and primarily regular in shape, boasting a wealth of period features. Best of all, an unusual rotunda room at the very top of the building offers impressive 360 degree views. A stunning turreted entrance porch and double doors open into the hallway with parquet flooring, feature ceiling and gothic style doors. The spacious living room has excellent views, chandeliers and arts and crafts period oak fireplace. The dining room is complemented with an Adam style fireplace and an impressive ornate oak table that accommodates family gatherings.
